Madison’s claim to fame is the Madison Regatta every 4th of July weekend. Dating back as early as 1911, this hydroplane boat race brings anywhere from 70,000 to 100,000 race fans. Surrounding the race is a week-long riverfront festival full of food, music, and friends.
Not a fan of hydroplane racing? No worries! The city is full of unique eateries ranging from full-service restaurants to locally owned sweet shops. And for those 21 and over, enjoy wineries and breweries that feature local beers and cocktails. Once you have a full belly, you can walk it off by taking a stroll through downtown and view beautiful architecture dating back to the 19th century.
